Nice head unit there swede-STI, a mate of mine has got one of those and it sounds absolutely brilliant. Got the P77mp myself, makes me wonder how I managed before having to carry so many different CD's in the car!

I filled the second slot with a 5 disc changer (Also from Blaupunkt) as I wasn't too keen on the pockets to fill the empty slot.
Head unit is a Los Angeles MP72 (MP3)
Also upgraded the front speakers to Infinity 605's.Top class sound now!!

Worth having a look at http://www.bluespot.co.uk for pretty much the best prices on anything Blaupunkt

Good luck

Nick

This is Patkins EU import special edition with satnav - If that is truly a single din size then it looks a v.good option for people with the new dash and if you can get the part from Subaru easily..

I am very pleased with the head-unit so far :-)

My plan is to place a carbon fibre plate underneath the stereo and place the Defi controller and Knock-link in it.

Thanks! Sounds sooo much better than standard HU, running it with Infinity 6500CS too.

Pocket is:

66128SA000 POCKET ASSY CTR

It's an exact colour match (at least to my eyes!), but the existing HU bracket does require drilling to fit it. Under £15 from your local scooby dealer, which I reckon is fantastic value for what you get.

Looks smart. Was thinking of either an Alpine or the Blaupunkt.

Out of interest, why did you choose the Alpine, and specifiically that one?

How much should I expect to pay?

Did it all fit easy?

Cheers!

PM if easier....

Default speakers

Do any of you know of the size of speakers for the late '05 STI (same as the '06?).

Need both front and rear door speaker sizes if you could.
Also been recommended Infiniti Kappas 2-3 way speakers, anyone help????

Thanks

DEFO Alpine all the way. I'm a pioneer man all the way. Mainly better looking headunits over alpine and still good sound. But would rate alpine higher for quality defo!!

This is mine............

And as far as I am aware the subaru satnav is 1.5 din size so is useless for standard headunits.
