Top Marques Motor Show
Just a few pics from opening morning of the show yesterday. These are unedited and I've had to turn the quality down but you get the idea
Venturi Fetish - very nice Electric car with 180 km/h top speed and 0-60 in about 4 secs. Downside is that they are are only going to make 25 and the expected pricetag is around 400K Euros!
Wiesmann GT - sort of German TVR. Retro looks (think MG or Jag XK120) with very modern BMW M3 or V8 engines Fabulous cars. We had a test drive in one (V8 GT below). It sounded like no other BMW! All handbuilt - their production run is sold out until mid 2006 - should be coming to the UK soon.
Bugatti Veyron - stunning car. Look out for 5th Gear's coverage of the show. You might spot two grinning idiots behind Jason Plato as he does his bit on the Veyron
TVR - hmmm Shame they didn't have the Sagaris though
Zonda - still the car I would have if money were no object (which unfortunately it is). The build quality and engineering of these cars is unbelievable
Great show - like nothing I've ever been to before
