Talking A Couple Of Upgrades & Swissol Treatment

I have done a few upgrades in the last couple of weeks after getting the motor at the begining of this month, plus a right good clean and it's first coat of Swissol.... shame the sun was not out today to get the full colour from the paintwork.

The upgrades so far are....
17" new age alloys.
P1 back box plus Magnex centre section.
Crystal clear front and side repeaters also side lights.

This is before,

After a little work,

Much better now I have de-tangoed

One from inside,

A couple of engine shots,

So much better after a proper clean... just to get that awful crap off that the garages always seem to cover them with !!

The next job for me will be a front splitter then I'll get the skirts colour coded all around

That look really smart and clean. The New age ally on classics do look really nice and makes the car look a lot more aggressive.

Cheers matey.... Yes they do make a big difference, they really seem to match the classic shape well.

Cheers fatmanscooby.... Thanks for those pic's by the way, and I have decided to leave that spoiler alone for the the moment... I have something else up my sleeve

Bioforger.... The wheels are 2 and a half years old !!! I had them on my bugeye sport before this, I have always kept them clean.. and never let the brake dust build up on them. They have been deep cleaned twice off the car, the last time was a couple of weeks ago before puttng them on here... I use the acidic based wheel cleaner and a nail brush on the inners, to get in the spokes I have a soft hair brush then I pressure wash regular on the car.
Here you go see....

I have one small kerb mark on the one and I dropped the other on it's face the first time I deep cleaned them off the car other than that they have kept really well.

Keep your eyes out in the for sale section, you see them coming up in there quite regular... or put a wanted out, personaly I think the Anthracite would look the dogs on mine... my fav colour at the moment

Cheers

Geez overkill on the cleaning mate But yeh I love the bugeye wheels on classics, I had some on my old MY99 before it got totalled To be honest though I wasnt 100% happy with them, I bought them off some guy on SIDC, and they werent really as advertised. Thats why I was hoping you had bought yours from new from somewhere at a cheap price

I might try a breakers to see if I can pickup a really good set.

The other alternative is to price up how much it would be to re-con a set of alloys ? ..... all you need then is to buy a cheap set and bang em in and choose a colour ?? it's worth doing the maths if you want a top quality set.
That way you can even pick your colour but get the insides laquered that would make them so much easier to clean.

Watch this space Si

Yeh thats crossed my mind, but to make it worth while I would have to buy a set dirt cheap. Most are going for at least £150-170 without tyres, plus refurb at what? £55 per corner at least thats, £370-390, then plus the costs of tyres.

I do like the ultralites ES941s with the polished rim, might go for those instead.

looking fantastic,

It looks so much better than when I saw you at the magor mini meet. looks great with just the 17" and clear lenses.

How long did it take to clean the engine? and what did you use?

Thanks Dan I can put a name to the face now

It's coming on matey, I'm very pleased with just these small couple of changes done.. quite a difference.
As for the engine bay..... I can't put my hand up for this it was like it when I bought the car ! either the previous owner had it cleaned or the garage did it.... I think it's had a pressure wash and then that spray they put on after by the feel of it.
Talk to Simb about his, he done it back last summer and will be able to tell you all about it.

Cheers
