Default Rota Tarmac2 (GPA) finally fitted!

Managed to get these last month at a bit of a bargain price, but couldn't afford to put tyres on straight away. This month is a different story! Well, with the help of Captain Credito! They're 17 x 7.5, in a steel grey paint finish with the face machined & polished. Looks nice in the photos, but awesome in the flesh, especially bright sunlight (unlike when I took the pics today!) Only thing that's missing is the center caps as the tyre shop managed to snap the lugs off some of them, although the swore they didn't use excessive force. Replacements are on the way from RareRims. Handling is better, & I don't think its all down to the Toyo Proxes T1-R's, as the track is now 10mm wider. Hope you like!

Rota's look mint Tim. they're replicas of the Prodrive GC-10e at a fraction of the cost! love the dished centres. what offset did you go for? did you get them from subydude in the States?

If I had pots of cash, I would have loved a set of GC-10e's in British Black, but as they're not available in the UK, I've spent the last 6 months trawling through magazines & websites looking for something a bit different, when I came across these. I actually found them here on Scoobynet. A fella who goes by the tag Beario was selling them & I got them for a smidge under £400! The photos don't do them justice! They look great when spinning, but I'm gonna drive into a bus or something if I don't stop trying to see myself in shop windows! They're a bit like the polished rims you see on the current M3 when spinning.

As far as I know, there is only one offset available, which is ET48.

www.rarerims.co.uk

should help you out. Haven't been there for a while but ROTA do quite a few copies of more famous type wheels - WR1, Prodrive, Advan RG, Work Emotion.

i hadn't seen them over here... but subydue in the States knocks them out quite cheaply. GC-10e and the GC-05f are awesome rims by prodrive, just cost a small fortune as you say. the Tarmac IIs look very well on your car, i'm still undecided between them or Dare V2s.

Cool

They look good, Tim.

I don't suppose you weighed a wheel before the tyres went on did you?

Excellent. Thanks very much for that.

(Nice to see it's not just me who puts wheels on the bathroom scales )

I was gonna go for those in Gunmetal, but am swaying now toward the Rota SDR/Redline.
Those look cool though.

The fella that I got the Tarmac2's from, had a set of Rota SDR's for sale as well at the time I collected my wheels. The paint quality was excellent & the appearance was a dead-ringer for the WR1 wheel (PFF7) - much more so than others that are available in the UK. As you can probably tell, I'm over the moon with what I bought - I'm sure you'll feel the same if you go for the SDR's.
