Thanks for all the comments guys!!

To answer some questions...

The Prodrive rear spoiler comes in primer I think (I actually bought mine off a guy on here a while ago) and uses the original mounting holes (That's the good thing about Prodrive gear - It fits straight on)

The gauge pod is indeed the Subaru one that the Lamco gauges fit into

Steering wheel is quite easy to fit (My mate Zippy fitted it for me mind as I'm sh1te on stuff like that - I did fit the STi carpet set and seats once I'd removed all the original seats though. That was a job and a half!! )
You can buy the STi8 steering wheels from a dealer but they are mega bucks!! £1270 or thereabouts including wheel and airbag module
Mine came off a JDM STi8 which was converted into a rally car (As well as the full interior) and was brand new!!!

Cheers

Cool

Nice one Nick, looks excellent (especially the prodrive front lip spoiler).

What's the in dash CD changer like in terms of ease of use, mechanical noise and obviously sound repro.

All the best

CD Changer is fine to use.To be honest,I very rarely use it now as I just bung about 10 ish albums onto a CD in mp3 format and play em through the head unit. The only mechanical noise you hear is when you eject CD's or you select another cd to play via the changer.Sound quality is excellent but I've upgraded the front speakers too so that plays a big part!!

Cheers

Its not an STI its a UK301, i have told him to get the stickers made for the wings and then its an original and everybody will ask '' did they make a UK301''.LOL

I got a mention for doing the steering wheel, whey hey, which isnt bad for Nick. He forgot to mention i have fitted almost all of his upgrades, which is good for me as he spends the cash and i learn how to fit them on somebody elses car.

Still it does look good though doesnt it,with the suspension and brake upgrades (which i did) it corners and stops like nothing else this side of a SAAB 9-3ss Aero.

My thoughts exactly Andy. Stunning car Nick, but it must have cost you a small fortune.

Funnily enough guys, that's what my missus says!!
Truth is,I bought the car brand new back in July 01 and didn't know too much about Subarus.I didn't want a grey import hence this thing I have now.I had the intention of buying the thing and keepin it standard (Don't we all!!!! ) and then I found Scoobynet and the rest,as they say is history!!
Seriously,I look back now and think the same as you but at least I have a car that I've customised to how I want it.I'd love an STi now but this thing owes me far toooooo much money and it runs and drives fantastic so I see no reason to change it at the moment (Plus with nearly 290bhp it'll give a std STi a run for its money - I hope lol)

Cheers

It will p#ss all over an STI, remember that night when i fitted your Whitelines and on the test drive i wasted that classic STI V past the Daresbury hotel, he didnt know what had hit him and as for our speed at the roundabout he was glad he backed off.

But on a more serious note, i agree with Nick in that the fun is in the modding and getting the spec just right to how you want it, if he adds the complete cost up of what it has cost him, selling a kidney wouldnt cover the outlay.

But it goes, corners and stops fantastic, still not PROVEN as the most powerfull Bugeye in the area but not too far off.LOL.

His next problem is that, as a 2001 car its getting a bit long in the tooth.

I think ill phone his missus and mention he wants a newer one...........
