Cool My New Gunmetal Alloy Wheel Fitted!

Having been fitted I'm not sure now...think I might go back to the original gold or get a new set of 18's

Somehow I knew the rim had had it as it was one of those "oh **** " moments. Bit of a shame for the tyre as the treads had another 12 months on...

Anyone think this wheel is repairable?

I've ordered a set of 18's Works CR Kai but they won't be here for about 6 weeks and ideally like to keep the original set for special occasions So looks like a trip to Subaru dealership unless the wheel is repairable?

that's encouraging news then and a nice start to the week so looks like just a couple of new tyres. It'll be interesting to see how these (RE070) fair in price with the UK.

....just need to find someone local to work on that wheel then

well....I was on this mountain twisty (serious) going downhill and cut a corner a little too fine and clippped the corner of a sharp curb at speed. I've driven it many times but you never know....

Going to talk to a company (the only one in Hong Kong) later this morning about knocking it out. Spoke to a few part-timers, they said 'We can fix it by knocking it back with a hammer but there will still be scratches'...errrrm no thanks I can do that too...made me laugh

Looks like some spirited driving you've been doing out there Simon

All the best and hope you get it sorted out.

heheheee... Thanks D!

The wheel is being fixed up as we speak. Cost was HK$500 (about £35) without paint. Anyone know the paint code for the MY03 gold wheels?

Not worried about the wheel...I'm having a bit of trouble sourcing two new RE070 17's the dealership here have stopped importing the JDM models that run on the RE070 and have gone for the Type UK models that run on RE040. Now I can't find anyone with my tyres in stock. So I might be off the road for a good few weeks if I insist on the RE070 (once you've tried these you don't want another!)
