Ross, the car looks excellent mate. Just curious, but do you stay in the region of Forrest Avenue? Sure i've seen your car whilst i've been visiting a friend who stays there.

Noooooooooooooo, I knew there would be someone tempting me to change the front end!! I'm happy with it for the moment. Dont think the missus would be too pleased about me spending more either

Looks Great, this is exactly what I'm doing with my 9 year old.
Also adding Lexus rears and Leather interior along with blue star centre caps and front blue star badge.
Is that an STI5 or 6 rear spoiler as I'm getting a STI6 spoiler...

Are the before picture alloys the standard 16" wheels that came with the car?

I like the look of them, better than the UK standard 15's I've got on my wagon at the moment.

Looking good BTW.

I dont think the old wheels were standard as they are 16s and I think the standard ones were 15s. Might have been an option in Japan or they could be STi ones

I prefer the way it looked in the first (before) pic. For some strange reason I really like the low-level spoiler and it makes a nice change to see a Scoob in standard form especially 'Old' wrx's.

You've still got a nice car though mate

Excellent transformation, but def the front grill at least needs to be done to complete the look. You would never believe they are the same car!

Once you facelift the front end, you won't know be able to tell the difference between it and a MY00

Regards the alloys, the 16's as seen in the first pic were standard on MY95-96 JDM WRX's. (260ps versions)

This car would have originally came with 15" grey 5 spokes (horrid looking things!) as seen on MY93-94 WRX's (240ps versions)

Car looks great and agree with comments before regarding front end, but I have a wife too!
What I would suggest is trimming back some of the number plate, front and back; not enough to get a hard time from plod, but enough to loose the excess from the ends. The front plate will help open up the front end, if you follow.

Out Inverurie way we cut em back and then use a coach line to put a border around it to finish it off. Just a thought, see below. Like I say car looks great.

Jools
