Pic request: multi cd changer installs
Hello,
I had the AVIC-X1 installed the other day... fantastic except for one thing. As the unit is one din. You have to swap the Sat Nav disk when you want to listen to a CD. My only worry is that I'll damage the disk at some point and a new disk costs quite a bit and I can't back it up as it has two layers
A CD changer would really help, but most of the space in the boot is occupied by a pram and I would hate to damage it when moving the pram in and out.
Anyone out there have a nice multi cd changer thing installed anywhere besides in the boot??? Any pics out there for inspiration??
Thanks

I havent got any pics, but I have a 6 disc Sony changer located under the front passenger seat. Its miles better than having to root about in yer boot to change the discs in the cartridge. If someone can host pics, I'll take one tonight when I get home.

Hi Jay Bee,
Thanks for the reply
A pic would be great! I presume multi cd changers usually come with a bracket for fixing it to wherever. I trust there is no extra fiddling or bits that needs to be done to fix it under the seat??

Well, I know you said not the boot but mines mounted between the two rear speakers in the boot and seems quite safe. Haven't smacked it with our nippers pram yet

I know you said "not boot" but have you considered installing in the spare wheel.
Check out my thread in the ICE forum called "Autochanger Install"
This is the link

To install in my car took less than an hour but I did spend a long time making the MDF lid (cutting, painting etc).
