I had one of those for my first car! a 1971 Morris 1300. Although austin made them at some point too. mine was bogey green and my dad thought it would be a good idea for him to buy it for me! I had to take it to college when I was 17 while all the others had new cars bought for them lol
I was a hit with all the grungers and hippies though, they used to love it!

Good guesses lads. She's a Wolseley 1300 Mark 2 with twin carbs and straight through exhaust!!! I collected it for the father-in-law who likes to work on these classics. My new clutch suffered as well and it did attract some looks on the M4! I will not be doing that too often again that's for sure!.

My Grandma's next door neighbour has a mint Vanden Plas Princess 1300 Automatic, similar to above car but with VP grill, leather interior, walnut dash and picnic tables behind the front seats. I think she's owned it from new

And my previous answer should have read Austin/Morris/Wolesley/Riley/MG/VP 1100/1300

20 years ago I slapped an Austin 1300 motor into my Mini and gave it a twin choke Weber carb and a straight through exhaust! That wee beast could have pulled a Subaru on a trailer!

Sadly, yes. You name a 70's rustbucket and either me or my Dad have owned one. Allegro's, Maxi's, Marina's, Ambassador's: if it was crap, we had one

My Dad had a Wolseley Six - real luxury back in the Seventies - at least that's what it seemed like to a young lad like me at the time. Automatic, walnut dash, arm rests in the front - silky six cylinder engine.... o)

It even had black inserts around the headlights (not chrome) - this was special to the Six - the 1800 had chrome ones
