MSRP is $47,995 Cnd + ~17% tax which includes luxury tax.

I got it for less than MSRP though, so it wasn't too bad.

I think the North America Model year is in fact one year behind everyone else. The bug-eye WRX came out as a 2002 model, while it was 2001 for everyone else (or at least for Japan?). MY2004 was the first WRX STi 2.5L and now the second year for the STi is the MY2005 which just came out in May.
