Default Afterburner Vortex / MY03

Why does it allways rain just after the car is waxed? Oh well... at least my new back-box came this morning!

It's super very shiny, and it's being fitted tomorrow. Can't wait to hear it on the car!! I really am very excited!!

Warning... most things in this next pic are shiny!!

Warning... most things in this next pic are shiny!! 'No worries' - i have a Digital TFT monitor and a 128 mb ATI Radoen 9800 Pro graphics card!

the shiny exhaust should go well with the balck.

BTW is that the angled exit or the stright exit?

Is that just the backbox on the standard exhaust?

What's the noise like? Louder?

How much did it cost?

Where from?

How many questions can I ask in one go?

{Deep Breath}

It's just the back box on the STi PPP exhaust.

It's certainly louder yes, but not overly so (in my opinion). It's a harsher sounding burble than the Prodrive kit, but still great to listen too.

It was £270 something I think...

...from 'Scoobyworld'!

Default snap

ive just fitted a full decat afterburner system to my 95 wrx,the differance is unreal, sounds awsome. The backbox is only available from scooby mania but the downpipe n centre section u can get from hayward n scott (its cheaper to go direct) in essex as they make the whole thing anyway, strange but true.its not straight forward fitting a little welding was required on mine.

I think I've just about reached the maximum volume I'd be happy with now. I'd imagine a complete de-cat would be a fair bit louder still! Plus, there's a warranty to consider.

I get you get some fairly impressive pops and crackles though! The prodrive stuff could be heard to pop occasionally if you listened carefully, but with this new back box, they're somewhat more obvious.

hey mat i have this zort well this is the 3rd one i have had you need to make sure the pipe is more than 1" of the drive shaft as the first one i have was about 5 mm off mine when it wasnt touching then if it is send it back when you get then next make sure its not got massive dents in it like mine, then send it back and get one that the workmanship in making it wasnt of the best!!!!!!
