Decided that the RA should make way for something a little more luxurious. After a year of piloting the RA round the scottish roads with a big grin on my face I bit the bullit and got my self a Bugeye. She has had a few mod's including,
Blitz FMIC
Blitz de-cat system & up pipe
Blitz induction kit
Turbo XS dump valve
Dastek ecu with launch control and full throttle gear change
Eibach suspension
STI short shift
19" Super Leggera's
rear light units
Tints, etc
Too follow are
Equal length manifolds
Lightened fly wheel
uprated clutch.
Still miss the Ra for shear rally appeal, but you can't have it all.
Here are a few pics of old and new.

love the RA (classic fan), but as much as i don't really dig the bug eyes... yours does have something about it - looks pretty cool IMO. the one thing i would say is ditch the bug eyes and get morettes (go hand in glove with your rear clusters)

How you doing Ando. The car was supplied by DICKSONS PERFORMANCE CENTRE in Dunblane nr Stirling. Not a bad crowd to deal with. Salesman there said he would get me some freebies if I went for the deal, so how could I refuse!!
I was hearing that the dude who got my RA on the saturday night had a bit of trouble keeping it on the road and keeping it in petrol. Thats why it was the weekend toy! Also heard a complaint about the gear box too, don't know if it's because it's an RA that it makes that noise or if it's to do with the problem I had just after I got it fixed. it's only done about 4000 miles since it was built so it cant be fooked. My first Scooby did the same and an oil change sorted it.
Catch you soon matey(and pass ya!)
P.s Spec C bottom end in the pipe line.
Ciaran. That right, I am from the Perth area. Just South. What you got for wheels? Might have seen you around.

Agree with the lights, not very nice but its good to see that the spoiler isnt 3 feet high
The Spec C bottom end though, its the same as the standard JDM STi bottom end, the only real differences in the Spec C are parts that your not looking at (engine oil cooler and transmission oil cooler plus a rollerbearing turbo), you would if your going for more power, be better off (whilst the £ is better than the $) is to get the 2.5ltr engine (should be better for you and you wont have silly costs except maybe the insurance).

I love the rear Lights mate !
You have to sort the front lights out next
How are you finding the Ride for Firmness compared with the RA.
THe Midrange Torque of the RA compared with the Bugeye ?

Tony, I am fitting the btm end to increase the strenth as is std WRX just now. And i'm running roller bearing SR30 anyway.
Brian, I love the ride compared to the RA(but still miss the car) even with the 19's . A lot smoother then the last one and it had 17's. Still got plenty of grip in both wet and dry, 235,35, Uniroyals.
Down side to not owning the RA is that the bugeye aint as strong as the STI RA. Only went and blew the bugger up on Monday night. Need to get that engine built quick style!

I could probably get used to the rear spoiler (if it were my car), but I would have left it as it was. The rear lights are terrible, in my opinion. If you like 'em, keep 'em - they're certainly distinctive. Love the look of the RA, by the way.
