It's Tamiya's new 2003 WRC electric R/C jobbie. It's meant to be painted in WRC blue, and comes with all the decals and such, but I thought I'd do it in black for a change. The wheels used to be gold as well, but they look so much like the Turinis I have on the real one, I painted them silver.

I bet the neighbours think you are completly crackers if they saw you, a grown man taking them pictures. I would love to see someone in my street doing that. It would be great, I would be in fits of laughter.
Great pics!! Nice to see something a little different again (i.e. the chopper last time)

There may or may not have been some twitching of curtains whilst the pictures were being taken... I'd prefer not to comment any further!
The wheels are Speedline Turini 18". I think proportionally, the wheels on the wee car would be about 20"!!

Got mine from Woking Models. I noticed the other day that Halfords are selling HPI Nitro cars but wouldnt advise getting one from them as you will need help/advice on the correct running in period and settings available on the carb.
Just remember if you have a cut on your hand dont for god's sake get any fuel near it or pick your nose if you have splashed fuel on you hands even when the fuel has evaporated cos it will STING like hell
And be careful about storing them in your car boot, the fumes they give off after a good thrashing are quite pungent and will stay in the car for a while.
But apart from that they are an absolute blast. Four of us have them at work and occasionally take them for a blast in the car park at lunch times. As long as your radio gear and servo batteries are fully charged you can blat around for ages without having to carry an abundance of battery packs (electric cars) just top them up with some more Nitro and away you go.
I would recommend something like a Kyosho for a beginner/novice. Well made and tough as nails. I have a 1:10th Pure 10 GP Spider 4WD Chassis with no hop-ups (up-grades) and its plenty fast for me especially with the belt driven 4WD system and slicks
