My new alloy's
#6
Neal,
I made the foglightcovers transparent myself.I wanted both of 2 worlds,so light & protection,like I saw on the MY02.
I bought waterresistant speakermesh which had 16.5 cm diameter(the visible part that is),and 'simply' sawed out the middle of the covers.(This was the sweaty part, cause one chance only.)
I cut the edges of the mesh ,which original fall behind the plastic speaker-edge that comes with the set,at several places(see picture)and pushed it in place from behind the cover. After that I bended the cut edges, and pushed them firmly against the cover's back with 'double sticky'-foamtape.(Used for carbadges etc.,so very strong stuff)
I chose to paint them black, which i.m.o. gives a more agressive look, but also because I want Morette's in black too.
They hold back some light of course, but when standing right in front of the car at a distance, they almost shine as bright as there bigger 'brothers from upstairs'.
Some more detailed pictures in there 'pre-stage':

No offence Matt, but the rotors are absolutely mounted correctly.Only this way the hot gasses and brakedust can leave the disksurface along the edge, and therefore give more cooling.
Bad mood on:

I'm sorry, but your rotors are installed backwards. They should be like so:
Even the WRC car has them installed the proper way.
I'd suggest you fix them soon.

DutchClutch!!
Neal

Guys, you're all right about the rotor's I must confess looking at several WRC-cars as mentioned.I will put them the other way around, and try and notice the difference in brakingperformance.I will let you know my experiences.
So ,now let's try one of my other 3 foreign languages.:-)

Got a mail back from WWW.EBCBRAKES.COM in answer to my question about the rotor's.
A short but clear answer:
Arend,
Your Disc is mounted correctly.
Best Regards
Bob Sketchleyack
So here comes an end to all doubt's.They are mounted the way they are supposed to from EBC's point off view.
Greetings,
Arend.

Hmm.. That's weird that they'd want you to put 'em on backwards. But if that's how they designed them, I guess it's all right.
Now I'm really confused!

I wouldn't dare. The chance of failure during the cut-out of the circle is too big.One chance only.
Why not try yourself?Only thing you'll need is some waterproof speakermesh, and 2 reliable hand's.
