If that is a Z4 then there aren't any in England yet so it is doubtful. (Or is it a Z8 not sure which one is not in england yet) but regardless everyone knows that a scooby runing on optimax will kick its ****

It´s a Z8 mate. Fantastic car. What more would you like to know??

Exterior is smooth and outwardly aggressive, and once you turn over the engine once every nerve in your body stands on end... Press the loud pedal and you never want to leave. The steering feel is precise, yet easy on the arms. And the bucket seats hold you well in all situations without needing a crowbar to get you out. All the controls are nicely placed, and the inside layout is superb. Blue and silver play a big roll in this car, and it hides much of what lies beneath....

Massively fun, dangerously quick, with a note from the exhaust which is to die for.

so how fast is it and how many ponies live under that long bonnet?

I know that it will be no match for my scooby on optimax but I would like to know how close it will be? is there ANY!!! chance that I might be slightly embarrassed by on on the unrestricted sections of the autobahn where we are not restricted to 70 MPH and not watching in the mirror for unmarked police cars ready to liberate us of our hard earned folding

SAM - well it does use the same 5L 8 cylinder, 400PS engine used also in the M5 Now you mention it and with an official 0-100 in 4.7, and capable of over 250 (without the electronic regulator) it is pretty much up there...

But anything on optimax MUST have something with dogs and ***** though... ? Surely.?

Oh yes, that´s right - all those who live in the UK have things called speed limits , how silly of me to forget! But according to all I have read there must be LOADS of private roads in the uk??? Otherwise, what is the use of having such cars and not being able to use it above second gear????

Cheese - My car does 0-100 kph around 4 flat. And the standing quarter should be around middle 12's with the current spec.

The Z8 doesn't do that mate.

SAM - YHM. I would be very interested (and so would Steve) in seeing what your car is capable of....

Neal

Turnip - Swede - me being a Swede...well you get the idea.

It's a regular MY00 turbo that's been worked on somewhat, nothing major, but it moves along nicely.

Don't know many Scoobs that would match the Z8 but I did get a ride in one of these yesterday:

I reckon it would give the Z8 a run for it's money (0-60 mph 3.6, 0-100mph 8.1)

Thumbs up

Had a go with a Z8 on Saturday night on the A1 jnct 2 turnoff (Hendon)- Left had drive with Finish number plates. Wet road.
Guy came tearing up the North Circ to catch up with me and then proceeded to bully me at around the 60-70 mph mark.
We came to a stop at a set of lights. He takes a quick glance at me to give me the nod, so I think, if he goes for it, I'll be game as well. Would like to see what happens. Lights drop to green and we both launch - 400 ponies, rear wheel drive, wet road = no traction.
I start singing my favourite song - "Bey Bey Baby , Baby goodbey !!!" He does manage to catch me and overtake me at 70 mph though - He then went subsonic and dissapeared.
I liked it, liked it a lot !!
