Pictures run through photoshop filters

Are you guys being sarcastic? Do you honestly think that they look good?
I use photoshop everyday and to be totally honest running a photo through a filter not only looks awful but takes 0 skill.
Now I have seen some evidence of skilled photoshop work, take for instance the guy who produced those images by using outline and flat fill. These looked 20 times better than the photoshop filter effort.
If you visited any kind of design or photo-editing forums and posted a filter picture then they would think you are being sarcastic. There are even competitions for worst filter images (some of you guys should enter!).
p.s. Here is my filter effort, took me all of about 30 seconds to produce, I think you will agree the lense flare completes the look

Or do a search for photoshop forums there are a lot out there depends what type of images you want to see be manipulated.

If your refering to mine, only two were done with just a filter, and thats the smaller pic of the P1 and one of the silver one, all the others were sone with a combination of some filter effects but mainly careful editing! esp this one:
And for those of us that have talent, I'm currently working on a project builting a scoob in 3D studio Max and Maya, which is a hell of alot more difficult! :P
