I decided I'd had enough of the boring interior of my MY97, so I sprayed the console silver, I'm really pleased with the result. I'm going to do the heater vents and controls surrounds next. What do you think?

Looks cool mate - been tempted to do the same to my MY00 but have not plucked up the courage yet! I have done the speedo surround already and that looks good too - a recomendation for the last of your silver spray

Yes, those wonky led's are part of my DIY afr meter, they'll be sorted when I get around to getting some holders.
'cheesy'? Looks better than black, surely? It looks really good 'in the flesh', it sets of the grey bits on the seats nicely.
Yes the clocks are definately my next victim

Sticky, i think you will find there are quite a number of sccobynet members that have done the silver spray job on their scoobs
Personally i think it adds some style to the interior of the normally dull standard.
Drexel, do the rest mate i did my 96UK turbo, the front and side vents and the main front console (like yours). Looks damn good. The only things i didnt do were the ash tray and the plate where you have those wonky LED's

I startted with my door pulls in silver and wasn't too pleased with the result. They are now DGM to match the car. Also done the heter surround and the bit around the clocks. Someone thought I'd bought them rather than spraying. Next job is the bit you've done plus the vent surrounds. Still got a mesh grill to finish first though, plus 90k service tomorrow.

Thanx mate. I'm pleased with the result, I took my time over it, rubbed the plastic down, a couple of coats of primer, 3 coats of paint and at least 3 coats of lacquer
