That was a 2 seater Formula Palmer Audi that blew past them.
They were giving rides to any one brave enough to get in (including my other half!). It was a b*****d trying to spot him in your mirrors as he was so low and took no prisoners when he went past as you can see in Richies vids

Must say it was one hell of a cracking day... and I cant wait until the next.
Also, Josh Levy's pics of my car are just awesome... must get that order form filled in.

As a passenger for most of the day (thanks all) I spent most of my time Bloody Audi Palmer spotting.
It would hammer through on any side no matter which you wanded to go.

Hmm...
I didn't have any problems with it. The FPA is in a completely different league to our cars & the driver is an experienced track driver too. You just had to keep an eye out for it - as I hope everyone was doing for scooby type track users... Anyway, you were told in the briefing it would be around.
In the last clip because of it's superior weight/performance/grip, the driver had anticipated you would take the correct racing line for the track & he ducked under. He probably was only going at 2/3rds ability anyway... He's more at risk from us than because of his actions.
Anyone crash into it???

Cool clips
Wasnt keen on the FPA myself, I have no doubts the driver new what he was doing, but there were novices out there who would be scared sh*tless by that thing undertaking on
a hairpin at 170mph while they were wrestling with terminal understeer...
Kinda reminds me of the True Grip foreword regarding lightweight plastic missiles on trackdays
Awesome bit of kit though!
James.

Sure, the clips were great, and I have no doubt he knew what he was doing but that mix was downright dangerous!
It wouldn't take much when fully/over committed to cause a back off which could so easily have been tragedy!!! The Listers MY01 car suffered WITHOUT the intervintion of some total **** in a much faster car!
Sorry if that seems a bit extreme, but if he'd have took me like that, I'd have been having words with him straight after!
Was it an official SIDC day? I'm sure that would not have been tolerated on an official club day?

Some good footage there, and that two seater does indeed look rather mental.
PS, on the work servers at this time of the morning, the last one downloaded at 418k/sec, got the lot in about 10 seconds, fantastic!!

Hmmmm, bit iffy granted.
It was an SIDC day Mike, however I dont think the driver was anyway near as bad as the Evo that nearly put me and Danny Fisher in the woods
I went out with SDB for a quick last lap, as we left the pits the passenger was getting in the two seater!, then as we came out the hairpin it was right up behind us! Simons comment was "I will let him go"...he stormed past us and it was clear when following him that this chap knew what he was doing
A great day it was.

Mike.
It was an official SIDC day, but I received no complaints from anyone about the FPA car at all. If I had than action would obviously have been taken.
I went out for a few laps in it, and yes it is ferociously quick but at no point did he drive in a manner that was a danger to anyone else. He always waited until it was safe to pass before doing so, at least whilst I was a pasenger.
It may be an idea in the future to let drivers on the track know that the car is about to come out though, a pit-board or something.
Fecking awesome, and it definitely added to the day.

Said it before - say it again.
Great day and one of those tracks where a car like that can be allowed on at the same time.
Anyway, liked it so much back on the 21st June for a corporate day
This time in their cars
