Most websites like 600 pixel wide images.(longest edge) saved at a resolution of 4 (Photoshop or similar) gives a file size of 100Kish.. anything more will not increase the sharpness

Any pics over 100k take a while to download, when optimising jpgs you can reduce file size by 50% and still retain a decent picture. Another choice is upload the pics to a website and post the links on the BB, that shouldn't slow it down at all

Under a 100k per piccie and image size of 800 by 600 or smaller as most people run that or 1024 by 768 as a desktop.

Ps the 100k is partly for me a 56k'ers and also for you if you put a big pic up some people will get cheesed off waiting to see your pride and joy
