Here are some pictures of my ride. Its a little different and a little slower, but its still a blast.
and
Its an RS stateside with about 165 bhp. Faster than a sport, but slower than the turbo.

Actually, the scoops are non-functional. It is a disappointment, but I know I'd be a hooligan if it was a real turbo.
The car actually has the same powerplant as the Legacy 2.5 so its still rather quick. I believe that stock 0-60mph times are just about 7.5seconds. Not too bad, but once again, no turbo. It is considerably faster than my previous 1.8GL though.
And Ed, thanks for the compliment. There are very few in this color. As a matter of fact, I drove 1600 miles roundtrip just to purchase this car in this color. I say its dedication, but most just think I'm crazy.

Good question.
Since there's no intercooler, there's just an airbox connected directly to the throttle body, then the snorkus (air intake) takes air from directly behind the front grill between the headlamps.
As for fuel, the car can run on anything as low as 87 octane and up to 94 octane. Not sure what that converts to in RON, but its pretty low.
And I filled up tonight on regular 87 octane (no noticeable performance difference) at $1.60/gallon. Very very cheap. I'm from Canada so I'm used to high petrol prices, like $0.88 per litre, although that's about half as much as you pay in the UK, right?

Mattinfl,
Hi m8. Nice car Great colour and 2 door too Looks great
Scotty
PS: Wish our fuel was as cheap as yours. How much you paying per gallon/litre? What do you put in 95/97 ron. Do you use octane booster?

Mattinfl,
I filled up tonight with 97 RON, I put in 45 litres at £0.82
But looking on the, not so, bright side. I only have to do it twice a week
$0.88 per litre You lucky.... Thing you

So...does is the red available in Europe/UK ?
As for petrol prices...why are they so high? Supply shortages, taxes, government garbage?

Matt in FL,
As far as I know the UK/Europe only get what we had for red on our MY98 2.5RS the Brilliant Red. I don't think they get the Sedonna Red Pearl, however.. I personally with the Rally Blue color would trade any US based color for the UK/Europe Steel Blue Mica.. That color is pure class.
I'll throw up some pics of my car after this weekend when I swap out my US suspension for a STi version VI Type RA set-up.
Cheers,
Jon

I've seen one of those metallic red scoobies here in Finland. The color was available at least for MY99, probably also 00. It DOES look in nature. Pictures don't lie. Totally different class than the Toyota Plastic Bright Red

Thanks for the kind comments.
Yes, it is a nice color, but with only 165 hp, it doesn't necessairly have the performance to back up the choice of "give me a speeding ticket red."
Its very rare in the US too, I've only seen 5 in the same color. Its nice to be at a meet and have the only red RS. Makes for a good conversation piece.
