If the Porker was passing on that line, he would have been straight in the Armco at the next bend
Notice the spray of the wheels? Thats Scooby weather... not porker....
I think its safe to say the photos genuine
James.
PS. Ive got video footage of me passing a GT3... guess id better get a frame grap sorted

It's genuine
That is approaching Adenau forest and James is right - he would be in the Armco if it were the Porsche attempting the overtaking move. The circuit drops away to a sharp right corner and I don't think he would have made it

Here is a frame from just after I passed the Porsche
To be fair to the driver they was not pressing on, as the Ring road was very wet in places as you can see in this next pic

Hmmmm...I don't think it's Adenau Forest though, looks like the bridge.
Well done though chap, a pass is still a pass!
I was disappointed with the Porkers. I thought at least one would prove to be a worthy opponent!
Oh, and the Porker is actuallly on the best line for that bend, not Ian. It's a left bend next leading up a sharp hill to the right.
Stef.

To be fair to the Ring Meister more commonly known as Colliekisser
I have just looked back at my in car footage and it is the approach to the bridge in the first 2 pics. The 3rd pic I am not sure of, I just know it was fecking wet in that shot and used it to show just how wet the Ring was in places.
I would of thought though that for the small right turn. You would approach on the left and then turn-in to the right, and once through the bend hug the right hand kerb until you turn in for the bridge itself, was the line to take? but I will bow to the superior knowledge of Stef as he can do the Ring a dam site quicker than me!
I will have to make sure that I buy one of your in-car tapes before the next Ring trip, so I can try to learn the lines...
Just to reiterate what Simon said about the crazy place
