Lets hope the rear passenger wheel doesn't meet a concrete block like Makkinen's previous car!!!

I'm in shock. I like a car with white wheels.

Someone help me.

Stunning, and really suits the car. Would look pretty poo on a scoob, I'm convinced.

Thanks for you comments.

I love the car as it's very individual. The new wheel's are an 18in replacements for the original 17in white ones.
It certainly gets noticed, I get stopped in car parks and people wind down their windows at traffic lights wanting to know what it is.

The picture is not the best quality but it looks better in the flesh. I am booked on for Donnington on the 30th so you can check it out with Blowdog's twin!

nice wheels.

I have a metalic blue TME and got the dealer to strip and re finish the standard wheels in Silver. Looks much nicer with the blue.

How do you find the handling with the 18" ?

much different ?

I'm in 2 minds as to dropping the suspension on upgrading the wheels.

wonder if you can do both ?

cheers

USAchap,
Having been 'accross the pond' several times, Americans have no room to talk about bad taste!

I am not bothering with the suspension as the TM is 10mm lower than a standard VI anyway. I agree that only the red car can get away with the white wheels.

The 18in upgrade certainly increases grip, the steering is sharper and it rides better. The mechanic at my dealer drove it and agreed it's better on 18in. Personally I did it for looks as I think the 17in wheels look too small on a VI.

The wheels are Speedline GT1's and are available as a straight replacement with the correct offset and use the standard wheel studs.
Mistsubishi dealers do them in silver with a p-zero tyre for £350+vat each.

HUNTY-It's not that at all. I see the lancer as superior in many ways to the gen1 WRX impreza (92-2001). But also, the lancer is the arch enemy of the WRX. Therefore, must be treated accordingly

USAchap

I sold my 97WRX in September, couldn't bear the look of the new car so I defected to a similar jap/turbo/4wd.
Still have a soft spot for scoobs
