I'm with Andy on this. It's what YOU think that matters. People have said some of the things on my car are tacky, do I care? no, it's MY car, I will do what I like to it, you don't like it? tough!
I think they look great. Don't think I've seen another car with the UK300 lights color coded. Makes a change for normal morettes as well.

Look at my spoiler lifters,excellent performance properties
but looks cr4p. 
Oh by the way I think they look wierd but cool,defo better painted than black.
