Bored so out with camera and PhotoShop

First chance to wash the car for a couple of weeks so thought I'd give it the Photoshop treatment as well as the wash leather.
Camera - Sony DSC-F717 with Polarizing filter to kill windscreen reflections.

Howdy Barge,
Straight picture from the camera (manual settings, tripod mounted) with a polarizer so that you can 'see' through the windscreen.
Loaded into Photoshop 7, selected the front two thirds of the car with the lassoo tool to create another layer. Got rid of things like a lamp post with a bit of cloning then applied a filter to the original to give the motion blur effect. Blend the front bit of the car from the other layer back in, feathering the edges. A wee bit of tidy up and thats it. You can do the same in Photo Impact, Paint Shop Pro, etc. for a lot less money.
You have a great camera, I'm sure you will enjoy using it. If you want to join a really good Sony forum then the best is at www.dpreview.com
