Hi all,
Didnt realise it would be like this. Its a standard 1.6 litre. The interior was standard but i got 97 sti type r seats off a breakers yard.
As far as i know they are pretty rare. Are there many over in England?. I decided to buy it as it was a 2door coupe. As regards spec i wouldnt know.
It is a jap import and hasnt much mileage on it at all. I dont think that the kit is standard. It was on it when i bought it. I dont know about the wheels though. Might make it even slower!!!!!..
Will post pics of interior tomorrow..

wrx playtime,
There is no such model no or shape as far as i know. I just searched for a 2door impreza on autotrader in Ireland. There is usually a few every couple of weeks. As far as i know they are very hard to find. Its a fine car for a young driver effected by the Irish insurance scam.
Should have pics of interior.

i have a 1.6, but it's a 4 door. mine is known as a 1.6s s for sport.
I had no idea they did a 2 door version. you have upset me now. let us have some engine bay pics too. see if it's the same as mine under the bonnet.
My 1.6 does not have the 2wd/4wd drive button so again you have somthing special.
could it be possible that someone has changed the engine at some point?? maybe they blew the 2.0ltr turbo and couldnt afford a new one, and so bought a 1.6????

Hi all here are e few pics of the interior.
Its a 1.6 alright as it didnt have the rear disc brakes and only had drums.. In relation to speed and handling its the same as a normal 1.6 impreza. It has near to the same rumble off the exhaust as the turbo...
Wrxplaytime, E-mail me on stodwyer@mpp.ie and i will E-mail you when i come across one. The are going for around 8-10k euro. Some might have loads done and some might be standard 2doors..
Sean....
P.S will post pics of engine bay tomorrow!!!!!..

sean youll have to start saving to buy the real thing, coz after a while youll be dying to have some power to back up the looks.
Maybe when your a bit older you can afford the insurance, hope it goes down for you.

Cheers pat,
had a 99 uk turbo last year and got a quote of 10,000 euro for insurance so decided to buy a more reasonable car. Im hoping to convert the 1.6 to a turbo one in the future if the insurance allows me..

Seriously is this for real ? If so i think there is a few people on here who will be getting one. I know you should never ask, but with it only being a 1.6, how much did you pay for it ?

Hi Michael,
I paid 9k euro which is equivilant to about 5.5K sterling. Its trully a 1.6 and im not watching the fuel gauge on it as i was in the turbo. I dont think people know that there are any around. I was amazed when i came across it.

555guy,
Got the seats in Pro-parts up north. They have a website. If you look at www.555club.com they have a link to them i think. Paid £IR700 for the two front and rear ones. They came off a 98 sti type R i think. What part of Kerry you from?.

Sean ,
I know of that place , just thought as you are from Limerick that you may have sourced them a bit closer to home. I live near Tralee but spent a good bit of time in Limerick up until about 2 years ago. I presume you are a member of ISDC , I think I've seen your user name on the forum there ... I've just recently joined so I don't know any of you guys yet ..
