Question

Been trying to think what a classic DBM would look like with rally stickers on it bcuz i aways see rally stickers only on the sonic blue.
also what colour do you think the stickers would be on a silver scooby? i think they will need to be black not yellow.
What do you guys think?

Ray (just playing with the idea, not going to do it)

(Sorry for the repost, just think i would be better in this place)

Scoobyk- i think it looks really cool. you should do it, it will make your scooby stand out. but loose the white box and take the large one all the way across the door.

steve. good try mate. i think you should have it done too, but if you do dont stick then on yourself

Ray

i bet it will take a good few hours to do it really good in photoshop.

If I do have it done I would much prefer the Larger spoiler than the one currently on the car

ScoobyK - Noooooooooo!!! You have one of the best looking Imrezas I have seen (possibly biased as mine looks almost exactly the same).

IMHO - the whole thing is a little similar to putting a bonnet scoop on a Sport. Will make no difference to performance - just trying to look like something you are not.

Having read what I have just written I should add that vinyl graphics don't have to be permanent, so why not if it makes you happy.

Just don't go sticking them on my pride and joy.

LOL, and thanks m8 I know what you mean...tho damage from graphics does worry me as I remember seeing a Scoob that had a large graphic on the spoiler for a period of time, and when removed...you could tell I'd love to do it if I could guarantee no damage etc. We'll see

Ray, I've just taken some off of mine, which were on for about 12 months, and managed to get rid of the marks with a bit of elbow grease!

The actual vinyl graphics themselves should not leave any marks because of the adhesive leaving mess or damaging the paint.

Have heard stories regarding the paint covered by the graphics not fading at the same rate as the normally exposed paintwork.

My co. has various sign written vans and have never had any problems when changing or replacing graphics.

Vans are silver metallic so may not show as obviously as other colours though.

i run a sign shop and do many vehicle graphics, depending on how long the vinyls have been on will depend on how much the uncovered paintwork has faded, a bit of Tcut will restore to all one colour.

there was a company on here doing the whole kit for about £300, which is a real good price.

I believe someone has just had a 22b done like mine above, and am waiting for better pictures of the finished car to be emailed. What I have seen looks good, and at a very competitive price.

I'm so tempted, and have permission from "the boss"

Hi, going back to your original question. I reckon on a silver car the graphics would look quite good in a dark grey - it would keep the 'monochrome' effect of the car and so not look out of place.

On the DBM I would probably stick with yellow as it's still essentially a blue background, albeit darker. Having said that, as it's not the exact same colour as the rally cars you might want to consider getting them in silver, as it looks good on any colour car and would still be striking.

In either case I would also recommend you go the whole hog for it to look 'right', using only part of the livery would smack of half a job.

Drop me an email if I can help in any way
