Auto X
#1
Hey guys,
Well I decided to compete in this Auto-X Competition they had here in Iceland and wanted to see how the old AE86 would compare to the big boys . To give you some details on the car, it badly needs new shocks at the front and the differential is about to "die" I think, so basically I wasn't expecting anything but just wanted to compete and see how good the car is, my friend who I own the car with was also going to compete on the car but couldn't because he had to work.
The other cars I was competing against were:
Toyota Corolla T-Sport
Honda Del Sol (http://www.live2cruize.com/Members/Pages/Tomo.htm )
Honda Integra Type-R (http://www.live2cruize.com/Ymislegt/.../240802_17.jpg )
Nissan 100 NX
Turbo Eclipse (http://www.live2cruize.com/Ymislegt/...2/240802_6.jpg )
Nissan Sunny
Opel Corsa GSi (http://www.live2cruize.com/Samkomur/.../190902_24.jpg )
BMW 325i 1986 (http://www.live2cruize.com/Members/Sidur/Stefan.htm )
BMW 325i Cabrio 1987 (http://www.live2cruize.com/Members/Pages/Gunnar_BMW.htm )
And ofcourse our Bad Boy AE86 1985 (http://www.live2cruize.com/Reviews/G...incam/AE86.JPG )
Well to make a long story short, I got third place wuhu , only 1:30 sec from first and second place. The second place went to the BMW 325i 1986 and the first place went to the Corolla T-Sport.
I think the AE86 did a d**n good job. I think the strut brace we put in the car had a lot to do with it.
And I was pretty proud of my AE86 that day, since our car was a lot cheaper than any of the other cars and is 17 years old hehehe
I will be posting pics from this Auto-X competition soon on my website for those of you that want to check it out.
