A few of us are having the "pimp" makeover in the next few days...and I thought it would be useful to get some ideas on the % I want !!! Can you post pics showing your tints, BUT also confirm the % (Back, rear door, frnt door). Much appreciated.

Yoza, I know what you mean However, Sammy has confirmed 30%, and Trouser's is 50% rear and 35% sides - all within the legal limits I believe (unless someone can correct me ?).
Cost, well there's a few of us having it done, and we've got a price of £220 - and they are coming to us.

IIRC UK law currently states that the driver and front passenger windows can only be treated with a light tint(upto 35%). The back windows can be treated with any shade. The front windscreen must be free of any shading, apart from a 6" strip across the top

Not got a picture, but 35% is the legal limit for side windows level with the driver. No aftermarket tint is allowed on the windscreen. Behind the driver doesn't matter - you can paint them if you like.....
35% is quite light - you can see straight through it.
IMHO it looks sh1te if the windows are different shades so I went for 25% all round.

We have recently had our front windows tinted on the Type R, and can confirm the following.
The legal limit for the front windows is 35%, wheras the rear sides or rear window legal limit is 23%.
The Type R's have 23% rear and rear side tints.

Is there some confustion here?
I've just had JDM rear quarters and rear window fitted to my CTR which all have a 50% tint (even a sticker to say so). Before I did it I checked with the local police. They told me that as long as the driver and passenger door mirrors are no higher than 35% that's fine.
If you think about it, how would a van based on a car work otherwise as the windows in that case have been totally removed. Also there is no actual requirement to see out of the rear window (again see some vans).
