A few weeks ago this (and a few other pictures appeared of my car with a new C-West front lip and side skirts

Well since then there have bits ordered, painted, given extra layers of paint () are generally made ready.

Apparently the old 17" OEM wheels were to small... how about some 18" forged alloy wheels?

Oh the bumper vents have also had a bit of work done to them!

Thanks to Trouser, Graham and Glenn (TSL) for putting up with the phone calls wonderig when the wheels would be delivered and pushing to get other bits done...

The latest pics, more might follow as may other changes...

Looking good Mark m8

Nicest looking MY01 I've seen - you've pipped Dr Evil now Good work - although you "only" went for 18's?

Having seen an STi with 19's - James Harveys - this is the must have wheel size for the new age

Top marks though chap - can't wait to see it in the flesh

Looked better with the stars on it.

Those wheels look small for 18".

Nothing personal mate but why do people put STI logos on their cars when its not an STI. Isn't it a bit like putting a GTI badge on a driver ?

having seen the car in all its glory this afternoon, it looks amazing

(PS neigbours loved it too)
(PPS the STi is only the foglight covers ffs - do you know how much the light itself costs to replace??)

As Scoob_babe says the fog light covers are acutally an STi part... I didn't actually put the logo on there, STi did!

Saying that it is likely that logo is going at some point in the future as the stone chips on the grill work are taking the black paint off... hence the reason for putting there in the first place... a replacement lens would have cost more.

So in that respect it is not at all like putting a GTi badge on the back of a lower spec model.

Jawa is you come to a meet then I'm sure you will see it!

The wheels certainly are 18" the tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 225/40/18 ZR GD03s!

Being forged alloy they are also lighter and much stronger so the car is actually lighter and handles better than when the 17s where on it.

I do sometimes wonder if my car is just a show car for TSL now! Although they do deserve the credit for the good work put into the mechanics of transforming it. The ideas were mostly mine!

Of course the spoiler is sitting painted at TSL waiting to go on, along with a surprise item and a sound install is looming!

Gordo,
Thanks, I like them as well!
Strange that Trouser went from the 19" Diablos to these!!

The bumper vent extenders should, in theory, help to catch a little more air to be ducted to the brakes... of course the fact the make the car look a little meaner and different was nothing to do with it!

I have got a replica 22B spoiler to go on... it is shorter but adjustable all the same. The sweep on the spoiler should hopefully match up with the front of the car.

Mark

Mark,

The vents look better than I expected! The wheels are much better than the standard items and looks good without following the crowd (ie OZ wheels!)

Now please stop posting piccies of your car until you sort out the back end of the car! :P

Andy the spoiler is next.. the lower lip spoiler for the rear is very much closer than I thought.

The next pics will show the finished item and maybe some photos showing the changes the car has under gone.

Glad you liked the vents and the wheels.

When you decide to come back to Scoobs and abandon German engineering, I'll give you a hand with the mod list!
