I hear she's a bit of a slapper and has had quite a few men inside her since you were last there.
There are even rumours of her having had three guys in her at one time.
You are best ridd of her anyway.
She was always slowing you down and over promising and under delivering.

mbc - Ignore the Dr Evil clones!
DrEvil (moderator) - It is a shame she went but you know it makes sense in the long run (thanks btw for leaving my registration plate in!).
I know my "tank" sometimes misses it's old play mate but the new one is as fun, especially on roundabouts!
It is/was a very nice car but bits of her live on in others, "donating" parts does that. Phil and the strut brace, Simes and the scoop and myself with the HKS SQV (best bit out of the engine compartment).
To answer the morrette questions:
On looks it is a personal choice whether they are better than the originals or the Prodrive lights. Interestingly Subaru obvioulsy noticed the trend for changing to these lights and gave them a SACC (Subaru ACCessory) number.
As to how you get them (Morrettes) painted, again you can go for one colour like DrEvil's or body colour with black as seen on the TSL painted Morrettes.
The bulbs can be left as standard or you can change them for some brighter Halogen bulbs. If you want to go even brighter there are HID (Xenon gas) conversion kits available, these are quite expensive, unless you are lucky enough to snap them up from a reliable source on "For Sale" (thanks Dave T-S).

Where did you get the STI fog lamp covers. Dealer told me that these wouldn't fit a standard WRX, only an STI. Is this true or did you have to drill holes or something into the bumper to fit them.
Cheers

The dealer is wrong - they won't fit the STi Prodrive, but they will fit the STi 7, '01/02 WRX and GX (as my Wagon-Tastic post shows)..
Rgds, Alex
PS. heres a pic of my new '02 GX

Alex,
So these will fit straight over the original fog lights on my MY01 (do they just clip on?).
Must get a pair how much did you pay and what is their official name, don't want to confuse the dealer when I go in!
Thanks
Chris

There offical name.. ermm.. I think they are called STi Mesh Fog Covers - if you grab an STi accessories catalogue they are in there... Or call TSL as they will sell a set (imported from Japan) for slighly less than the dealer will.. dealer price £199, TSL price approx. £185 (inc P&P).
They only come in WR Blue and Black (unpainted) I believe..
To fit them you unscrew a bolt that is accessible to one side of each fog light, attach a mounting bracket, then clip them in place and use the provided screws to secure them.

Lovely looking Beast Dr E.. What did you swap her for? Doh.. just reread the thread.. Nice wagon! I do like black scoobs..
What wheels are they too (and where from?)? 18" Oz Superleggera's in silver I'm guessing? Think they'd fit on an unmolested MY00 without any tinkering?

Cheers Greg - they were Prodrive/OZ 18" 10 spokes in silver, available from any subaru dealer and the offset is fine for the MY'00 as well I was told.
