Default The renaultaru

Morning,

Been using the forum whilst hiding in the background getting some answers to some questions Ive had. Thought I'd best contribute eventually
here is my UK classic impreza, currently disguised under a Clio 182 body. The floor plan and bulkhead are full Subaru, will take Subaru seats and carpets then everything up from the sills is renault.

I got it with engine and some running gear but the electrical gremlins were beyond me so a running donor was found to complete a full swap. Whilst the shell was bare I've started on fitting full weld in cage to MSA spec with the intention of going for full class 2 log book.

Flintstone spec, no rear floor

The next couple weeks should see the cage work complete and starting to bolt the underside back together after all the bits came off for a blast and paint.

Hopefully it'll be making loud noises by summertime

I dont have an answer for that, I inherited it as a rolling shell when the friend that built it passed last year.

He lived in a lifeboat named the golden spirit, liked a dram or 2 and built some wonderful things. 4x4 novas, S2000/mk 1 escort hybrids, spaceframe things.

I can only imagine he was a couple bottles of whiskey into his day when the idea came to him

Combining 2 of my favourite cars! love it. Clio's are a blast to drive but just don't make enough power, this thing should put that right!
