Default Subaru Powered VW Synchro

One of the lads in our off-roading club has this beast. I heard him coming into the car park and looked for the scoob & was surprised when this rolled in. Normally aspirated 2.5 Legacy engine, home-made installation and mated to the standard Syncro box. He's kept un-equal headers for the sound and lots of other clever bits. Makes me want one

There's a few companies offering Subaru VW conversions.

It seems to be a well trodden route to replace the VW flat four with a more powerful engine.

yes and 95% of them go for the NA engine ,,, I went for the turbo engine from a Newage just to be a bit different and make life harder for me lol ,,,, iv sold it now as I didn't use it like I thought I would but it was fun surprising people off the lights lol
