Default JDM Hatch STi

After a long wait for registration details from the DVLA, I finally picked up this from Hurst Cars

A clean canvas, more or less standard 2010 JDM Hatch STi.

It's just had a new RCM cambelt kit fitted, so next plans for piece of mind is all fluids & rear discs and pads.

A grade 4.5 from the carvx Jap history search

Got to give it to Max for his excellent prep and the lovely car:

Unfortunately due to the splitter it won't get on my drive so is parked on the road

I'll remove the splitter for now, but hopefully get the ride height adjusted along with alignment soon.

At some point I'll get an exhaust, fuel pump, fuel filter, induction kit, 3 port and Ecutek remap.

I still have my V5 Type R Ltd tucked away for my son.

Nice! Why didn't Hurst do the fluid change for you before sale as a gesture?

He thought it was done, just one of those things his worker forgot to do. To be fair to him he popped the bonnet & pulled the dip stick himself then said it's not been changed and offered money off along with an apology. So no complaints at all from me.

Thanks but there's already 2 sets off mats and I'm now broke so unless you'd accept payment in Y-Fronts I will struggle

I know of hedgecutter, PT82 and yourself from here. Are there many more?

I would love to just to hear your exhaust Mine has only been map checked at RCM to make sure everything is okay which I'm assured it is. But I'll be driving it easy till it mapped properly so no track time yet.....
Ideally I would like a track day and a round of the 22b sprints this year.

In my list of known JDM hatch owners from Scoobynet I forgot the original, the one that made me want one in the first place, juggers with his R205

Had a nice day out in Leicester yesterday.

All fluids changed, spark plugs, air and pollen filters and ride height raised.

Just waiting for confirmation when Bob Rawle is next at Chevron for a remap with RCM fuel pump, fuel filter, Milltek and 3 port.

Are you getting Ecutek? Bob wouldn't touch mine on open source.

Does a JDM need an uprated fuel pump for a remap?

Get Simon at Chevron to do a full fast road geo setup while you are there

Fancy Tunerfest at Oulton on 22nd?

Yes I'm hoping for Ecutek racerom.

Re: Fuel pump: Mines not a spec C unfortunately and has done over 50k and needs a new fuel filter anyway. Yours I'm sure will be uprated already
I'll definitely ask Simon to look at the Geo. RCM raised it all round by about 2cm and feels much better now.

Let us know how it goes
Ask Simon for a tour around Joseph's time attack car. It's a weapon. There are some hatch rally cars that he looks after also with very interesting suspension setups

Bob mapped my car yesterday and kindly sent through the below graph. It's still with Chevron for more suspension tinkering. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow
Engine mods for the below are:

Turbo back heat wrapped Milltek Twinscroll exhaust
Walbro fuel pump
3 Port boost solenoid
Cosworth panel filter
Bob Rawle Racerom remap (High/Low boost settings, launch control, FFS, Auto-blip on downshift & in gear boost control)

FFS stands for flat foot shifting. Bob said it needs to be used with caution, I can't see myself using it to be honest.
The service from Chevron and Bob together has been 10/10. Especially considering Simon's house was hit by lightening and burnt down last week.

Couldn't say for certain, loads of history with the car but it's all in Japanese.

My first time with Bob, but I'm really really happy with it.

Very nice thanks, the exhaust is very quiet, so my neighbours will be happy.
The Chevron alignment has transformed the car.
That's it for me now. Just service items as and when needed

Good to hear buddy. Don't blame you on the spending, it can get out of control, it has a little with me but I'm nearly there. Mishimoto CAI and TMIC with a map tweak and then just spend my spare cash on petrol

My H&S is a little loud for my tastes but not enough to get rid.

I was also very happy after the Chevron geo setup, gave me much more confidence in the corners!

Any chance of seeing the alignment values from either of you at Chevron?
If you can pm me the price, that would be good too.
