Back once again...
Hi all. After joining in 2010 with my 97 Terzo and then last year I posted up my UK2000 I had bought to re-live the terzo days! Don't get me wrong it was a nice thing but it wasn't the car I remembered, it seemed soft and a bit clumsy. So I've now bought this blob STI off a mate and I must say it's what I've been looking for! It has the wow factor that the terzo had the first time I drove it.
ive had it a few weeks and have spent a bit of time servicing but also rattle chasing! Have had most of the dash apart locating and dealing with them. I guess the sti suspension takes its toll on those jap plastics after 13 years!

Just a mild restoration really. It's been used daily and is now on 80k miles so needs some front end paint due to chips and just some detailing. The front suspension has a knock that's driving me nuts and can't be found (I think strut top but can't be sure).
Hope to do some track days and enjoy it as it is.
also can't decide if I would prefer the wheels gold or not? Thoughts welcome.

Few more from today. First couple show repairs to an inner rear wheel arch. Whoever frequented the passenger rear seat for some time was incapable of retracting the seatbelt before slamming the door shut!!! A pet hate of mine!

When I get it back it's going into the cave where I will attempt the STI strut clunk grease nipple fix trick! Once up on stands I will do a bit of underside detailing as stuff comes off and on again. I'm almost looking forward to it! More pics to follow then.....

Cheers Siv! No pics from the body shop today but still hoping to get it back tomorrow.
Ive been getting the garage ready for operation "sti strut knock stop" yes I will move the axle stands before driving in!! Green polythene down to avoid messing up my floor, a bit sad maybe but it's more second home than a shed
