i imported it from japan
it was at a small auction so went under the radar
if it was in a big auction house like tokyo i would have never been able to afford it
is there any other version 1 sti on here?

Had a set of V1 wheels free to collector a while back. In the end a mate had them off me, if you can't find any wheels I could speak to him about them.

Looks nice.
Just a note, it's not the 42nd one ever made, it's the 42nd one built in April.
There's a few my94 STI's knocking about as they made quite a few, although rare to see one in red.

from what i can see online first batch was april 94, mayby im wrong?
there was only 600 version 1 sti made, in batches of 100 and 200 a go
and were the only hand made sti impreza
so a very rare car now, even rarer in red

March batch was the first afaik. 100 a month for the first three months and then 200 a month after that. From memory it's around 900 my94 sti saloons built.

They started life as a wrx (hence they share the same model code) and then moved to the STi plant and had the bits bolted on to make it an STI.
Later models were built in the factory alongside other models.
