Hi Guys,
Now on my second Impreza so thought Id share it with you.
I was intending on getting a blobeye Impreza STi but most of these were out of my price range, I did find one Manchester way and was going to go see it but then I found a nice early classic STi and it was white (always wanted a white car since I started driving lol)
A trip down to Kettering on Sunday for a viewing and a drive confirmed it was the one to have and Monday night went to pick it up so here it is:
1997 Subaru Impreza STi Version 3.
Its had a few upgrades but nothing outrageous but more importantly its got no rust on it.
Spec:
ESL ecu mapped by Duncan of Race Dynamix (dual map and running mafless)
Unknown 3" decat downpipe
Prodrive 2.5" cat back exhaust
K&N panel filter
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Grooved front discs
Uprated pads
Speedline ST2 alloys
JUN front splitter
Boost gauge
Dyno'd at Roger Clarke Motorsport and made 321bhp/310lbft
It also came with a brand new Direnza FMIC kit, Blitz cone filter, spare set of original alloys with brand new tyres and the front fogs.
It goes well enough and the ride is absolutely brilliant, last 2 cars have had coilovers and I can't stress enough how much better shocks and springs are for road use!
Only got a few pics at the moment, will get some better ones when weather improves.

Theres a few things that need sorting before I put my own mark on it but really enjoying it so far.
Oh and one of my old V5 STi Type RA, sold it couple of years ago to chap in southern France.

Got some daylight pics finally

Plans are the following:
Newage Brembo's all round
Rota GRA 17x7.5
Afterburner Vortex cat back (can't decide on straight or angled exit)
Fit FMIC
Map tweek
Crystal head, side and indicator lights
Think thats about it really, no doubt find other bits but want to keep it as a useable fast road car so not going for much more power, be happy with 330 with similar torque.

Some goodies turned up.
Rear newage Brembo's, just need a classic fitting kit now

Will probably go with these for the front

Decided against fitting the FMIC and cone filter as im not looking at increasing power anymore and id like to keep the look of the car instead of chopping a huge hole in the bumper. I might get hold of a intercooler sprayer at some point or possibly even a newage STi tmic, more for reliability then anything else.
Got hold of an Afterburner Raptor exhaust system, originally wanted the Vortex but this came up at a good price so picked it up and fitted it.
Its loud but sounds like a group N rally car, pops and bangs like a good 'un with plenty of flammage

If you have DCCD look into your rear brakes before you buy anything boss you could get a bit of a shock. There's a whole lot of messing with the v3 to get brembos to work about 10 ways it can be done with lots of different options

No it doesn't have dccd.
Iv been speaking with Ian at Godspeed and it looks like it's either the thicker shoes or the disc converters.
Is there other options then?

Pretty sure you've an r160 so Ian would be right if you already have those discs in your picture. They look to be 190mm handbrake discs/drums. If you'd of been r180 diff that's when the torture starts.
