New member with a WRX
Hi all, thought I'd introduce myself having been lurking for a couple of months now. I'm a newbie to the Subaru scene but no stranger to modified Japanese cars. I started out with a Nissan 200sx as back then £3k got you a 300BHP+ car with plenty of handling mods, I even ended up owning two at one point as I got offered one for a very good price and wanted some of the modified parts off it.
I then moved to a Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R, this was a lovely car but knowing i used to have the same fun in the 200sx for a third of the price, I ended up selling the car and putting some money into savings and then treating myself to an R33 GTST Skyline. I only sold the skyline as I was able to make a good profit, but I regret it now seeing how much good ones go for (Mine had less than 40K miles from new and you could have eaten your dinner off the underside).
At the same time as selling the Skyline I decided to go to Uni as a mature student as I was fed up with slaving away and barely being able to fund my hobbies. So, I ended up buying an EP3 Civic Type-R as I still wanted something quick to get around with that wasn't going to burst the bank. Finally, now Uni is pretty much done I had that bug for a turbo Jap car again. I really wanted an STI but I thought I'd play it safe and get the WRX first, as I've never drove an AWD car before.
The WRX definitely has it's pros and cons. The positive being it's a really fun car for the money and has got me hooked on Subaru's. The negative is, I'm now in the market for an STI once I'd priced up all the things I wanted to do to the WRX.
Anyway enough of me rambling on with my life story. Here's a couple of pictures of the cars. Apologies for the lack of Subaru photos, I'm still waiting for the rain to stop and some time off work to take them.

Thanks Guys.
I'm not planning to do anything to the WRX except keep it clean and running smooth, as I've got some money set aside for when a nice STI comes up. Glad I got the WRX first to be fair as it's allowed me to get used to the AWD experience without the worry of damaging a really expensive car. I can't wait for the winter, after years of spinning going nowhere in my RWD cars whilst my friends were out in their Evo's and Impreza's.

To be fair a wrx on summer tyres is not much better then a 2wd on winters. Been proven think it was a m3 vs a impreza on youtube. I was behind a scooby years ago in the snow and he span out not going fast. So dont think your invincible when it snows this year!

Ha, I won't, don't really want to lose my car. I'll probably get myself some cheap wheels to run winter tyres as there's a lot of country lanes around me. So, driving in crappy conditions is inevitable.
