Default my1999 GT Turbo from Holland intro

Hi guys,
Just picked up the Impreza from my brother, which had it for a few months.
We bought it already upgraded to a td05-16 and a new engine with 30k miles on it.
I have a lot of questions, but didn't want to trow them at you without introducing me and my car.
I'm driving Audi S2 since 1999, but I love a lot of other brands also.
Today my car collection contains:

BMW e39 540iAT Individual, running on LPG. My wife usually drives this car.
BMW e36 M3 3.2 Evo Individual, a Coupe. 100% standard and original.
VW Golf Mk2 with an later 2.0-16v. Nürburgring track car. Big brakes, rollcage, Recaros, stripped etc. 900kg and 170bhp.
Audi S2 Coupe, a lot of mods. Hope to get it finished in 2015, with 440bhp.

And now, the Impreza. I already did some laps with it on the Ring, and want to continue doing this. My Golf just doesn't have enough power for me to improve any further on the Ring. But it tought me a lot the last 5 years.

The Impreza did really fine on the Ring, overtaking e46 M3s and the only thing I got, were 2 fuel cuts and some rubbing on the wheelarches (wrong offset off the OZ wheels, which are gone now).

Welcom. Nice car bud, looks like a JDM model, as has no air bags. Checkout the paint code looks like 65c Redish blue to me.

Pretty sure that's a Euro Import, and not a JDM.

Nice car tho and welcome!

Thanks guys.
It is an Euro model. GT Turbo, which was a GT 2000 in the UK iirc.
My car does have the lighter bonnet and some sti parts, but they are all placed by a former owner.

The Uk model is called a 2000 Turbo not a GT.

Also i'd get your door handles colour coded and remove those side strips

Are those side strips glued on? Easy to remove?

I'm sure my old classic had them on when I bought it , think they were just secured with 3m tape or similar.
Gave it a quick polish and wax after removing any small amounts of residue.
Looks much better without them imo

cheers
Matt

Great, will look in to it and will probably take them off.

I have some bodywork to do, and will get the door handles color coded at the same time.
