However, it possibly looks better than the standard Skoda shell! Those pop up lights look like Lotus Esprit items. There has been some money spent on this, however i wouldn't be seen dead in it!

No disrespect to the owner of that fine steed, i'm sure its a beauty. Its just those Scooby doo fog covers... Have you thought of selling them to some tasteless Germans? They'd go down a treat over there.

What's wrong with the vents? I know they are not to all tastes but they do help as the blanking plates are not in place, and thus the rain does not simply flow into the car, which it would without them.
As for the fog light covers, well, ok a tad tacky but I like them, and I am not the only one to have them, plus they go invisible when the fog lights are on!

Actually Markus does have a point. On the pre-97 face lift car the bonnet vents are for decoration only and have blanking plates underneath that do not allow air to escape. Removing the plates opens up two large holes to the engine an allows rain to wash inside (all over a bunch of electrics if I remember rightly). At least Markus' vents prevent this from occuring...
