Default MY05 Model Spec C type ra v9

Seen as the thread was blocked in the for sale section. Just thought i would post some pictures on here of the work we carried out on the car. We had it professionally treated and cleaned underneath, waited for it to dry and applied a coat of wax oil. All in it was a long day but well worth it once we saw the results. Oh and thanks to Matt for his help on this one.

Not sure what the OP paid but these have been going for anything between 7-9k at auction in japan. You then need to add shipping, insurance costs, VAT and import duty. So you are probably looking at least 12k+

Thanks for the words of appreciation.

Must include japan buyer fees also, internal transport in japan, deregistration, mot, cambelt, engine service, gearbox, diff, wax oil and a few other bits and bobs, iva test. All in its just about made it feasible bringing this over considering all the risks/time constraints and costs involved.
It is a 4b grade car

I think you might have a sideline business for cleaning and sealing there!

Any chance of sharing how much it'd cost to get done and where?

A remap for UK fuel is needed or the use of high grade fuel and octane booster. From Japan the cars are restricted to 112 mph /180kph.
This is a lovely example. It always surprises me how clean the models that come from Japan are.

Will pm you with info. Not sure we would have the time but if someone really wanted it done then we may be able to accommodate.

Yes it's hard work but keep at it and im sure you'll get there. White ones command a HUGE premium so red was second best but not least.

As Maz said. I have just ordered 10 bottles of millers octane booster to go with imports that have no recollection of mapping. Never had a problem with them running shell v power but i suppose you don't know sometimes unless you have it on the dyno whether it's good or not.

thanks again. Wasn't sure whether i should put these pics up as i didn't want to come across like im showing off. Just merely put them up to show what someone will be buying and why it's priced where it is priced. + the for sale thread got sabotaged lol

Must admit Banny, red is not everyones no.1 colour but personally don't mind it. In fact i like it tbh. Even contemplating keeping it and putting some company graphics on it but that will probably spoil a good car
