Depends what kind of camera you have. Basically what you need to do is turn off the flash and let the shutter stay open for ages. Some cameras have a function on which auto ajusts so the shutter stays open to let enough lite in.
Hope this helps.

Park partially under a streetlight, this will allow it to cast some light so you can rely on flash off, you dont want to much light tho, as you dont want it bouncing off the body panels.

As steve said it depends on your camera but the way id do it is use a couple of flash heads on low power for fill in but also use a longish exposure to bring out the detail of the car and the neons.
As you need a long exposure a tripod will have to be used.
If you have got exposure compensation on the camera, under expose a couple of stops.... but it all depends on your camera controls.

but is free so i'm not complaining....yet! lol

Mark
what size tubes did you get???????
how many colours could you choose from?????
the standard kit is 2x30"+2x40" (Red-White-Blue-Green-Aqua-
Pink-Purple or Yellow) they'll b £150......P&P wouldn't be £10..so £160 is about right.

Pro Kits have LifeTime warranty though...and 32" tubes (7 colours to choose from too)

i love under body neons...they look wicked on your car
Mark.

juninho,

Here are some pics of different neons on my car ....... the green ones broke , so have now got red !!!

Am going to get better red neon pics ....... You can just make my car out second from the Right ... Next to Knowlseys car !!

And some of the neons on the ICE !!!

I have Fuji 4800 and don't use the flash in the dark and this is how the pics come out ...... You have to be very steady though or you get blurred piccies !!

Phil,

Red is much better ...... Much brighter than all the other colours ..... This was how it was explained to me ...... All the neon tubes come out in a pearl (like the light bulbs) finish on them, but the red are clear tubes ...... Hence brighter ..... But I'll get pics done when I get my car back so that you can see ( this is the longest weekend of my life !!!!)
