My 04 WRX saloon seems to have developed a strange problem.

It is fitted with the standard UK spec alarm as fitted by Subaru UK.

Anyway the problem is i've locked it with the single button key and i always confirm it locked by pulling on of the door handles before i walk away but on several occasions i've come back to the car pressed the remote to open the doors only to find it's locking it. So some how it is opening by it self whilst i'm away. Has anyone else had this? Or know the fault?

If you haven't already done so, it would be worth checking the wiring between the driver's door and the door frame for breakages.

Thanks for the reply. No i've not tried that i'll have a look....

If that doesn't work the next thing I would look at would be the lock solenoid on the driver's door. Hope you find the problem.
