LED sidelight bulbs
Legal or not?
MOT fail or not?
As technology advances and LED bulbs become less flickery and are now standard fitment on many vehicles and as we try to reduce energy usage, are they now legal? Do they have to have CE marking? SMD bulbs give a steadier light than earlier LEDs.

Have yours been ok in the bulb holders? i.e. not too loose?
The set I have fit pretty poor, very loose in the holder, and very temperamental in working, wiggle the wire and it comes on let go and it goes off.
Will see if I can secure the bulb tighter some how, if not will get some normal bulbs back in.

Mine were like this, however by slightly benting the contact wires outward on the 'bulb' they gripped much better and no issues since.

Replacements on order as a back up, just the leds looked better don't they.
Also a bugger the light unit has to come off to get to it, could have been so simple

Bit the contacts are only thin bits of wire....still it maybe enough to make a tighter fitting, if it worked for you ok, then I'll try.

Light units did not have to come out on my Hawk, although it was a bit of a fiddle to do....
