Default hid bulbs ice blue

Im after some nice hid bulbs for my blob eye subaru..can anyone recommend a good set?im after only bulbs that fit straight into the headlights and not ballast. Im also unsure of the size im after would appreciate some advice..cheers in advance

It's not going to be a HID unless you use a ballast and I think they are now an MOT fail if you fit an aftermarket kit if your car didn't originally have one.

It's a H1 bulb you'll need and you may be better off with either of these (I've used both on a blob):

I've got the Philips ones in now and they were both pretty good. I didn't really do much comparison between the two but they were definitely an improvement on the originals. Yes they should be the right size, pretty sure H1 is a standard fitment.
