hid bulbs ice blue
Im after some nice hid bulbs for my blob eye subaru..can anyone recommend a good set?im after only bulbs that fit straight into the headlights and not ballast. Im also unsure of the size im after

It's not going to be a HID unless you use a ballast and I think they are now an MOT fail if you fit an aftermarket kit if your car didn't originally have one.
It's a H1 bulb you'll need and you may be better off with either of these (I've used both on a blob):

I've got the Philips ones in now and they were both pretty good. I didn't really do much comparison between the two but they were definitely an improvement on the originals. Yes they should be the right size, pretty sure H1 is a standard fitment.
