Default Electrical woe

*Hi folks,,had an odd thing happen tonight, I've got a flat battery**so hooked up the old jump leads normal thing then occurred dash and interior lights came up nice and bright. Then turned the ignition key the alarm was still armed so it went off, turned off the ignition again pressed the key fob then the lights all went dim again as if a jump lead had fallen off,,,the ignition lights are still coming on with the key but are dim due to the flat battery,, is there a fuse or relay on a charge circuit as I would normally expect no lights if a fuse had gone?

Check the large fuses in the fusebox under the bonnet, you could have fused one.
