Immobiliser scanner fob???
Hi Im new here as I bought my first scooby last week.
I have a 2001 not turbo Jap import.
My key doesnt have the immobiliser transponder chip inside. I scan a key fob next to centre console which disarmes the immobilser and lets me know it works by bleeping. When I turn the ignition off the car bleeps again to let me know that the immobilser has activated.
What I need to know is, can I get a new fob to scan (if I lose that I cant start my car)
If anyone can help I will be grateful.
Thanks
Alan

A RFID transponder is the same as what should have been in the original key. I can't see why someone would take it out, it would have been better to install the new immob alongside it.
As its after market, you may not get much help on here uless you get more information about the alarm and fob itself. Post pictures if possible.
