Spare Key Fob Not Working
2003 UK Subaru STI
Decided to checkout the spare key only to find no battery inside. Replaced battery, however the fob won't work but key will lock and unlock doors and start engine if I deactivate the immobiliser with the working fob.
I assume the code has been dropped by not having a battery in the fob.
Any ideas on reprogramming the fob so I have both keys available?

Is that the same style key as the one you use currrently?
I thought that those buttons never worked, something about not passing the thatcham cat 1 security, so even with those keys, you still needed a separate fob. I could be talking absolute cobblers, as I read it on here.
