Replace ignition key with push button start
Possibly a bit of a sensitive subject so happy for PM if anyone feels uncomfortable.
I'm building a 2003 Bugeye for rallying and want to remove the steering barrel and ignition key, these will be replaced with toggle switch and starter button.
I've stripped the dash on the car ready for a roll cage and can see some wires around the ignition barrel that go to a black box under the steering column. Is just unplugging these sufficient or do I need to perform some bypass work of some sort?
Many thanks
