Default voltage issue

Strange one this. Last week my secs monitor threw out two high voltage alarms. Now looking at the voltage on the monitor it is showing around 13.8 volts when fast idling and around 13.2 @ idle. I seem to remember it used to be around 14.6 and 14. When i stall the engine with nothing on like lights it drops to about 11.6. Here's the funny thing at the alternator post the voltage @ idle is about 15.6 and with the engine off around 13 volts dropping to about 12.6. So why is the ecu showing what appears to be duff info? Has one of the circuits in the alternator done one? Fyi its a2001 bugeye.
