Earthing kit on bugeye uk300
Ive read somewhere these cars had a poor earth, ever since i got the car it throws cam position sensor fault up in higher rpms, ive changed the sensor and checked the stock earth cables are good/clean but still get the fault.
I was thinking of getting one of these (link at bottem) as it looks smart but may help with the poor earth, can anyone show me best conection points and are there any negative effects?

The DENSO ECU misreads and throws a spurious camshaft position sensor error.........mine does it as do a lot of Bugs. Not sure if it's due to the earth though..........

You can probably make up link wires for a lot less.
However if you look at each end of the inlet manifold, you will see a bolt that has all the earths for the engine electronics (injectors, sensors, etc) These also connect to the chassis via two very slim wires that have connectors in them so they can be disconnected when the engine is removed.
Your best be is to supplement these links with some heavier cable (gold/brown in pictures).
Also ran a supplementary link from the battery earth to the earth point on the firewall by the pitchstopper.
Cable and connectors from Maplins..........

Thanks for the reply, il look at them links when i get home, with regards to the fault i read on the dianostic reason for the code that the electrical draw from the in high rpm can cause the cam sensor to drop to 0v which the ecu thinks there is a fault, the extra earths sometimes cure this fault
But thanks again for the replies and the pics will be a big help
